An event of titanic proportions is taking place. The genius criminal mastermind Arcade has achieved a means to forcibly tear off splinter fragments of different multiverses so that he may piece them together to create the ultimate Murderworld: a global arena where each dimension’s greatest superheroes and supervillains are able to clash and fight and kill each other for Arcade’s sadistic entertainment. To further his control over this perverted realm of pointless slaughter, he forges an alliance with fellow supervillain Lex Luthor and the prince of the eighth circle of Hell, Malebolgia. New alliances must be forged if mankind’s greatest heroes are to stand a chance against every last one of their deadliest adversaries.
Welcome to Murderworld: where it’s kill or be killed.

September 2nd, 2015 15:03 PM Edge City, Downtown
After a particularly hot day filled with engaging activities such as inspecting mortgages and opening bank accounts, Stanley Ipkiss had two things in his mind: an ice-cold can of beer, and his bed. He packed his things, waved goodbye to his coworkers and walked out of the building. He was certain that at least one person had greeted him on his way out, but he was too tired, sweaty and weak to respond. The man dragged his feet towards his car, which happened to be on his usual parking slot, and let himself fall into the driver's seat. His right hand slid across the car's control panel and, with a quick flick of the wrist, twisted the AC's dial.
Whooooooooosh.
Eyes closed, Stanley basked in glory of the chilly winds that caressed his face, until...

... He opened his eyes. He looked around, seeing nothing but clouds. Cautiously, Mr. Ipkiss took a peek below him and quickly realized he was no longer in his car, and was falling towards a very large building at terminal velocity. After spending a few seconds yelling in shock, Stanley felt more alive than he'd ever been. He closed his eyes, a content smile appearing on his face. A timely rush of adrenaline brought him to the realization that he was about to go 'splat' against a building, however. Half another second of shock later, Stanley's hand dived into his jacket's inner pockets. Without a second thought, he pulled the wooden mask out of it and shoved it into his face.

"Ouch. Thankfully, this massive pile of junk softened my fall."
The Mask bounced off the pile of steel and rubble he had just created. He turned around, poking his ching with his right index finger. "Should probably clean this up, though." Reaching behind his back he pulled out a massive crimson rug, which he used to cover the heap like a blanket. "ALL DONE!", shouted the green-faced weirdo while dusting off his hands.

"Who are you calling junk?"
At the proclamation of his work being finished, Antonio honestly wished he could see the look on his assailant's face as the rug that had been draped over himself and two of his other suits began to move as he rose back to his feet. As his current body's thrusters kicked, he began to hover, tossing the rug off of his shoulders. Cold, emotionless, fluorescent eyes peered down at the green man.
"Impossible Man? I can't see why Arcade would choose to bring you here, far more trouble than you're worth." He scoffed, but Jarvis was quick to inform him that he was a little off on his assessment. "Oh, my apologies. Mistook you for someone else."
Tony landed and turned his head up towards the hole now in his roof, small pieces of debris bouncing down comically. Whoever this bozo was, he owed him about $10,000 in repairs already. Not that money was even a concern in Murder World.
"Now then," at first nonchalantly wiping rubble from his chest, he instantly engaged the stranger by grabbing for his collar, "are you friend or foe? Termination protocols will engage in three seconds, so you should talk fast."

Big head pulled a note pad and a pen out of his jacket and began scribbling. "That'll be ten thousand dollars for both the skylight and the cleaning, sir." He handed both to the hovering figure before him while twirling a moustache that certainly wasn't there two seconds ago. "If you'd be so kind as to sign he... Wait - termination protocols?"
After a head shake vigorous enough to leave a blur, the Mask tore his face's right half right off, revealing a metallic endoskeleton and a red optical lens in place of his eye. He slapped the chromed hand that clutched his collar and then spoke again, this time with a deeper voice and a very thick german accent. "You would be unable to comply."

"Ha! Right, pay you to fix something you broke. That's rich." He nearly forced his palm into the green guy's nose but was set ajar by the sudden appearance of a mustache on his face. Definitely wasn't far off with this guy being similar to the Impossible Man. And... now he was making Terminator references. Cute.
"I guess you just need somebody to tell you where you are, is that it? I ain't got time for any whacky BS, pal, lives are at stake." He pointed a finger in the stranger's face before he turned and floated off. Tony docked his current suit and quickly transferred to another, slimmer model.
"You should have a handbook on you that explains the basics, but welcome to Murder World, our new ticking time-bomb of a home!" The glorified exoskeleton's finger quietly popped open revealing a soldering tool. He then began to patch up his previous body, squatting when necessary. "First thing that book won't tell you is that money is as worthless here as it is back home. I.E. you probably aren't going to be spending any anytime soon. So if you want to fix that, be my guest, but neither of us need a transaction. Unless you count the 10.1 seconds it would likely take me to kick you into next Tuesday, freak show."

Coiling back, The Mask blinked twice with a dumbfounded expression on his face. He did a brief pocket dance, discovering the aftermentioned notebook in one of his pants' pockets. Just as he flipped open the notebook, his stomach grumbled loud enough to shake the ground. After a quick shrug of his shoulders, he threw the notebook into his open mouth and loudly chomped on it.
Suddenly, a lightbulb manifested on top of his head. "Oh, I get it now! You're the tin man!" Reaching deep into his pockets, Big Head pulled out a large, slimy, pulsating brain, and threw it at Antonio. He then snapped his fingers. "Now, you better tell me where the hell we're at" - he paused, lifting a finger - "...Where the Lion and the Scarecrow are", each mention accompanied by another finger, "...And how to get off this tower!", extending his pinky when finishing his sentence. He waggled his fingers in front of his own face, leaning forward, expecting an answer.

"It's been great chatting and all," Tony gave a sigh before punting the brain into a garbage bin nearby, "but you know if you want to leave you can always go back through the hole you came from, Dorothy." He chuckled, switching back to his previous, more battle ready, suit. He could admit that there was some cleverness behind this guy's jokes, but it didn't make his being here any less annoying. First there was the issue with how to take on Arcade. Definitely not an easy task even this early in the game, but he had to find a way to stop him. And then of course there was the issue with getting everyone back to their proper homes. Even more a problem.
It was now Iron Man's turn to have a light bulb moment.
"Though if you'd like, since I'm assuming you weren't brought here with wherever you're from, maybe you could stay here." His boosters lit up again as he flew down to a lower level and began writing equations upon a whiteboard. "This is also assuming you wouldn't stab me in the back later for kicks, but considering I'm one body short of that even working..." He looked up the stairs and paused for a moment.

With a sway in his step, Big Head followed the hovering suit of metal to the lower level. "I must say the offer is quite tempting. You've got yourself a nice crib." A fat, brown cigar popped out of his mouth, which he lit up with a snap of his fingers. He puffed away at it a few times before taking it out of his mouth, holding it with two fingers while blowing out three concentric smoke rings.
The Mask leaned back on a smooth, black and golden cane that seemingly appeared out of nowhere. "Look, pal. I'm gonna be honest wit'cha." He cliqued his tongue and puffed away twice more. "I've tried stabbing you a few times already, but whatever your skin's made of's pretty tough." His eyes pointed at a bunch of bent daggers, scattered across the floor. "And you know what they say - If you can't stab 'em..." He cocked his head to the side, covering half of his face with his yellow brimmed hat, revealing only his nose and a big, mischievous grin. "Join 'em."

Tony shook his head at the number of daggers that littered the floor. To be honest, if he had been trying to stab him, his sensors didn't even pick up the activity taking place. That meant this guy was either one big, elaborate gag, he was faster than any other being he'd been up against in the past, or he was particularly adept at bending the natural laws of reality to his whim. The one genius in the room was banking on the latter option. With a tap to his chin as he surveyed his work laid out before him in black ink, he then tossed his marker to his, supposed, new ally.
"Alright then. I'm going to expect you to pull your weight on this team... or, as much as two guys can make up a team anyway." He tapped a heel against the whiteboard and it spun around on its wheels revealing a layout of Murder Island, just south of New York City's current location. He'd tried to fly there on his own, but Arcade was as cunning as ever. Fifty missiles were quite the welcome wagon.
"This island is basically a no-fly zone. Not so good for me considering I know I wouldn't be able to get on it undetected by ship. This," he pointed to the north-western region of the island, "is where our detestable host is currently residing. I had drones scouting out the area, but they've all been dealt with as of now."
Tony gave a mechanical sigh, "I'm not exactly keen on the idea of sending someone to their death, so I'm going to ask you now. How quickly do you suppose you could get out of there should you be up against... well... see for yourself." He turned his attention to three large monitors and pointed to them. Instantly they fired up, revealing the footage shown globally the day before. This 'Superman' must have been quite the big shot back on his own Earth if Arcade wanted all of his playthings to witness his fall.

Leaning forward, Mask rubbed his chin while gazing into the monitors. "Hey, I know this guy!", exclaimed The Mask with a smile on his face. "Well, I don't - but I've met him before. I'm pretty sure. He's a strong dude, right? I bet he can - and now he's dead." He straightened his back, crossing his arms with a frown and clicking his tongue. "Whatever. The other guy I don't recognize, though. But he's the one that killed mister chiseled jaw, so I guess he's the 'bad guy', or whatever."
"You say you can't fly in there, eh?" He placed his hands behind his back and turned around, taking a few steps away from the blackboard. "Well, maybe I should go check out the place myself."
