╳ ARC ONE: MURDER WORLD RISING
CHAPTER ONE
At some time in JUNE 2015 on Earth-616, Arcade happened across Doctor Doom's Latverian stronghold where he... retrieved a powerful artifact known as a cosmic cube. Utilizing its powers alongside his mechanical and robotic expertise, the villain had soon fashioned a device which allowed him to do two things. Firstly the device could be used to create pocket dimensions, something definitely not unheard of within his universe. Secondly, to solve the problem of having an entirely empty dimension, the device's second function allowed Arcade to pull matter from his original Earth-616 into this entirely void realm. Soon enough he had amassed enough technology from the various organizations and groups of his own world with which he could enhance his machinery and expand upon his horizons. Arcade was now capable of reaching across to not just Earth-616, but also the countless other worlds within the multiverse.
It is now SEPTEMBER 2015, and this self-proclaimed god of Murder World has yet to be thwarted by any who have came before him. With the aid of Malebolgia, Arcade seems nigh unstoppable, much to the dismay of the heroes being forced to participate in his games. This month marks the fall of one who many would have considered the one being capable of putting a stop to this: Super-Man of New Earth. Stricken down by Arcade himself, it was revealed that he had pulled in quite a large amount of kryptonite with his multiversal vacuum, most of which he had deposited underground, yet close enough to the surface that it would bring Kryptonians
to an unnoticeable imbalance with their powers and abilities gifted to them by the yellow sun (in Murder World's case a star similar to Earth's pulled in from an outlying galaxy).
It seems hope is lost as Arcade fills his propaganda-laden media across newsstands and televisions throughout Murder World, constantly reminding everyone of the fall of one of their mightiest heroes. This serves as both deterrent to any other heroes who would challenge their new god, as well as a point of much optimism to villains. After all, if one as supposedly mighty as Clark Kent could fall to Arcade, what hope was there to stop this madness?
